I watched Rachel Allen on BBC yesterday and she had Jason Atherton on who cooked a pork chicken adobo. It looked to die for and I have tried to find his recipe by searching the web to no avail. I have listened to the programme again several times on i player and cannot quite catch the ingredients. I know one ingredient is coconut rice vinegar (can't find this on the net either - any ideas?) but I can't work out what Rachel puts into the pot to grind up. Did anyone else see this or can make out the ingredients please?

Thanks to you both but I've seen these and other similar but they definitely do not contain the same ingredients. I'll have to see if Patrick can decifer it on iplayer! I've found the coconut vinegar though.

We've cracked it! The ingredient she grinds is black peppercorns - how simple. The other ingredients ar bay leaves, 5 spice and a whole bulb or 2 of garlic, palm vinegar and light soy sauce. All I have to do now is find a stockist of palm vinegar. I can buy it on the net but have to spend a minimum of £30. Anyone know of any asian/phillipino supermarkets near doncaster??
