Wondered if people would like one more get-together this year - thinking about October?

Unfortunately we are not available until after 25th October as we are in Brittany from 13th September until then, so only 29th/30th is the only date free.

I hope we can make it on 29th October now as going into hospital on 23rd September for a knee replacement so by that date should be fighting fit hopefully. Only going back to Brittany for a week now 13th-21st September to close down our holiday home as probably won't get back there after operation.

As far as I know Morgie it's a definate for 29th October. I'll ask for aprox numbers nearer the time so they can set up a table. Look forward to seeing everyone.

Well, here is hoping I can join you! However.....
Mother is now going in for a Sigmoidoscopy next week, she has lost 2/3 stone in weight, so a bit worrying to say the least.
Everything 'on hold' again!:(

I'm not sure at the moment. It's a long cross country journey and the nights are starting to draw in. I'm also going to Surrey on 28th, so it might be difficult. I'm waiting to see if Andrew is able to go then we could perhaps join up. I also told Liz, my cabin share from the last cruise that I would bring her to the next meet, so you never know.

Would be nice to meet you Jaqueline too, but unfortunately coming off nights that morning, tried to get a lieu night, but another collegue on holiday so its no go I'm afraid.
I could have driven straight up, but a 3hr drive after a night shift could be a tad dangerous!

Hope we can arrange another meet.

Does the pub still close at 3 pm as it did last time we were there, as won't get a lot of time for chatter. What time are you thinking of for lunch as we may have to book a Travelodge or Premier Inn for the night before as will have to stop every hour for me to have a walk round as knee will get rather stiff if in car for 2 hours or over.

We usually meet at noon, eat at 12.30. If people want to chat for longer we can always reconvene at the Garden centre across the road for tea :)

All booked Saturday 29 October. Special deal - £12.99 for carvery, dessert and coffee. They open at 11.30 so can arrive from then onwards. Meal booked for 12.30 to give us plenty of time. See you all there

Sorry Sharon, that will be me off the list. I am afraid Mother is having quite a big operation next week.
Didn't think they would do it so soon, but there was a cancellation, so we spent all yesterday getting various heart, lung, and blood tests done, plus the pre op assessment.
To have to go through this at nearly 90 yrs of age will be quite traumatic methinks, poor ol' soul!!

Viv and I got back to my place about 9.15 after shopping at Cribbs Causeway, we were one of the last to leave M&S, when we got out we had lost the car we had obviously gone in a different way to normal, eventually found it on it's lonesome not another car in that part at all. She has just phoned to say she is home safe and sound.

Thanks for arranging another fantastic lunch, it was good to see everyone again.

Thanks for arranging a brilliant lunch Sharon. We managed to get home in 2 hours and only stopped once for a wee walk break to ease my leg. It was nice to be out and about again, even though leg starting aching. Nice to see everyone again, look forward to meeting up in the not too distant future. Phew that dessert, I was full to busting! :) shame didn't think to take photos. See you on 9th December Carol & John onboard Arcadia for the Crows Nest cruise.

It was lovely to see everyone yesterday. Thank you Sharon for organising and ensuring that we had another excellent lunch. When we left Liz and I decided to take a look at Weston, but decided not to stay as it was a bit blustering and dull (the weather not the town!) We went home via Cheddar and then took the cross country route back to Bournemouth arriving around 8pm.

Hope to see everyone again soon.
