Excellent find Peter P!

Especially, loved the trip down memory lane to Southampton in the late 50's/early 60's at the beginning of the video. From the days when the allure of the seas, was not a cruise ship, but a calling to so many to venture over and beyond that distant horizon.

The other added bonus being having footage of all 3 'Queen Elizabeths' in the one video.

Nice one my friend!
Thank you very much indeed.

I really enjoyed that vid Peter. ... BUT... just under it .. scroll down to where it says Linerlovers... click on it and to the right click on" Aurora's Capt Pembridge Announcing"... Its a video of the recent Force 12 plus storm on Aurora en route Dublin to Greenland 29th July (which quite a few from CN were on, and mentioned, if I remember). Oooo that gale looked real bad!

Force 12! Oh dear. We sailed through a Force 10 gale in 2009 when sailing from Cannes to Barcelona and that was scary enough. :D

Yes we were there too... It was the day of the Gold Lunch so we had told our table we would not be a dinner and were going to to to the buffet instead... as the evening progressed the weather got worse and so as it was a formal night !! we didnt feel it was worth dressing just to wobble about the ship and go to the buffet.. so we stayed in the cabin and watched TV... by midnight we had sailed out of it... Its a credit to Aurora that she rode the storm so well as you can see from PATSY's film even the glasses on the next table remain stable !!!
The Capt and officers all said only Oriana and Aurora ride the storms that well... had we been on another ship it wouldnt have been so stable .

Also did you read Pauls review.. his balcony on deck 10 flooded and it came in through vents in the doors and flooded his cabin.. which P&O dealt with by drying out and replacing the carpet..

That is what happened to our balcony as well when we were on B deck on the Aurora during a force 12, I had returned to the cabin before too much water came in and put down towels and then found our cabin steward, quite a few cabins on our deck had to be dried out. We thought the ship coped really well.
